Hi Everyone,

We missed all our guests and are looking forward to when we can return to the days we can safely operate our many wine events and experiences. Some of you may or may not have realized that at the beginning of June we started our Reopening Phase One Plans by reopening the store with temporary operating hours of Thursday through Saturday from Noon to 6pm. We also remain open to private shopping during our off hours, simply call us at 770-693-5889 ext. 1002 and make an appointment. We do recommend to try to make an appointment 1 day prior as we can not guarantee same day appointments everyday. We will always try to accommodate your appointment requests to make it as convenient as possible. 

We are also off curbside and contactless pickups. Call us and lets us know what you what and we will pull your order, send you a email payable invoice and we will bring it to your car.

How We Pivoted Our Business

Most guests have known us for our wine events and experiences or our in store unique shopping. We are proud to have serve our community now for nine years. To ensure that we can stay in business and serve all our guests in the future and during these unpredictable trying times, we have focused on pivoting in many ways to allow us to operate.

We have accelerated our online shopping boutique and will be rolling out many more items you see in the store and also some exclusive items that will be available only in our online boutique. As we are also known for our unique gifting items, we have pivoted to the safety needs of the pandemic with providing quality safety items without the price gouging that can be found in many places today. We are also proud that we are providing over 85 different types/styles of face masks in stock available at our store or online with more choices coming including holiday specific ones like Halloween, Fall and Christmas.

We have upgraded the check out and payment process which simplifies the guests experience while shopping. More updates are planned to make our online boutique a pleasure to shop on. 

There are also many additional services coming in the months ahead like our Michel Design Works Buyers Club, Charlie Bear Club, our First Wine Club and our expansion of the wine cellar to to include a Georgia Wine Closeout Section. We have made arrangement with two of or distributors to obtain their closeout wine and pass the great saving onto you. The closeouts are still high quality artisan wine that is no longer going to be available in the State of Georgia for various reasons that are normal to the wine trade. Most of all these presented wines are at wholesale and a lot of times way below wholesale costs as the distributors need the room in the warehouses to bring in new products. Drop by soon and stock up on some really good deals. Oh yeah, these wines are being added to the website so you can shop online too.

We have four Brands and over 85 masks to choose from today. If your in the market for a mask(s), we give you options from the simplest single color to more eye catching patterns and even a few that you could pull off with an upscale look. Mask are made with spandex stretch or cotton in adult and some kids sizes.

What Happening with Events 

 It's been a long time since we talked about events here at The Gifted Ferret. The last wine event happened for us way back at the end of March due to COVID-19. Much like the virus we have had our ups and down relating to how to bring back events here in a safe way. We had made plans and tested rolling out a new outdoor socially distanced Wine, Movie & Wine Tasting Nights, our own version of a modern day drive in. With some close friends, we tested this new event and personally I think it was great watching movies on a big screen with a favorite wine in hand.

Unfortunately, the week we were scheduled to start these events we ran into a rainy patch that cause some delays and then it was followed with a major COVID sprike here in our area that was bigger than what we had back in April. So for safety reason, this new event series is on hold until the virus is more controllable here in our community. We have already started plans on other ideas on how to keep up connected with some out of the box event ideas. So keep a watch as we introduce new events that we can do during this pandemic. 

We will be bring back our complete line of regular events like tastings, sip & paint, pairing events and home wine parties as soon as we get past this main part of the pandemic.
