School may be starting soon but we are planning one more summer blowout party! Make plans to join us for our Annual Beach, Fur & Wine Party with Extended Hours on Saturday, July 20th from 6-9pm. We will have some seating outside but feel free to bring lawn chairs to hang out, play a few summer games and of course drink some summer wines with friends. We will be conducting our regular free style wine tasting and also adding a upgraded VIP Ticket.

TASTING NOTES
Color: Bright yellow pale with green hues
Nose: Great balance between fruity notes such as green apple, grapefruit and spice. Mineral notes such as ginger and white pepper.
Palate: Very complex, characterized by high minerality balanced by good structure and very long finish.

A great white wine, it has a buttery taste in the mouth, and it is elegant and balanced.

Viticulture
Vineyard: Selected from vineyards in Burgenland.
Soil Type: One part comes from gravel soil, the other part from loamy soils.
Vine Age: 20 years old average.
Irrigation: No irrigation
Harvest Date: October 2014.
Yield: 8 t/ha.
Vinification:
A cold and rainy year especially during harvest. It was much colder than average, which led to producing straight, focused with good acidity and low alcohol levels wines.
This particular vintage provides physiological ripeness with low alcohol and a good acid backbone. Typical for a Blaufränkisch from Burgenland. Harvested at optimum ripeness, spontaneous fermentation in temperature controlled tanks, pressed and aged a bit in large, used oak barrels. Bottled young to preserve the freshness from the fruits.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Light ruby.
Nose: Some blueberry and spice.
Palate: Fresh, dark ripe cherries, with blueberries and a velvety finish. Fine tannins, well integrated acidity and good length.
Other: Will pair well with roasted chicken or grilled meat.

Vineyard:
The grapes come from rock and clay soils located on a hillside exposed to the Cachapoal River. A protected and relatively warm place.
Vinification:
After of the harvest, the grapes were selected, destemmed and then ground to take them to stainless steel tanks, where they were inoculated with selected yeasts for two weeks at maximum temperatures of 32ºC / 91ºF.
Once the fermentation was finished, the must was submitted an extra week to a post-fermentation maceration. Then the skins were separated, and the wine was stored in French oak barrels (43% new and 57% used) for 10 months. The wine was clarified with natural egg whites before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
A fresh Carmenere with a very good structure. The nose shows aromas of berries, tobacco, and some notes of vanilla and cedar. In the mouth it feels concentrated, with soft tannins and notes of chocolates.

Nobody knows from where the name Cagnina comes, but this wine has been made since the 13th century exclusively in the Emilia Romgna Region, just south of Venice, in Italy.
"Adesso," which means "now" in Italian, is a wine that is easy to love.
Tasting notes: Pleasantly sweet, Adesso’s berry aromas and flavors are impossible to resist. Low in alcohol, Adesso is a fun and easy to drink red wine for those who prefer their wines “off dry”.

Bonus Taste:
In order to establish this mead the traditional brew is combined with various spices and dried hibiscus. In addition to the color, this adds a floral aroma and aftertaste, like good Madeira.
