TASTING NOTES :
“For a cool vintage with plenty of challenges, the wine reached 15% alcohol, so don’t expect any green aromas or diluted flavors here. The nose is a powerful combination of dark plums, espresso coffee, Belgian chocolate and shy hints of red cherries with a full-bodied palate and abundant, fine-grained tannins, moderate acidity and good length, no doubt lifted by the alcohol. This is a big, ripe blend, slightly international, in need of some bottle aging. 42,000 bottles were produced in 2011. Drink 2015-2021.” (91 pts, Wine Spectator, 04/2014). LuisGutierrez.

Teroldego is the signature, indigenous red grape of the Trentino-Alto Adige. It’s famous for its deep color, soft fruit and ability to adapt successfully to both modern and traditional aesthetics. Concilio’s Teroldego – from the Braide subzone renowned for varietal – jumps out of the glass with an opaque crimson-purple color and delicious aromas of licorice, violets, blackberries, morel mushrooms and tar. Fleshy and generous, the wine caresses the palate with a deep kernel of licorice-tinged cassis and black cherry fruit accented by soft tannins, tar, and a kiss of oak. Sappy black cherry and blueberry fruit carry through to the wine’s long, lithe finish, which adds notes of leafy sous bois and salty minerals. Everyone who loves a juicy, characterful and food-versatile red wine must try this offering. Enjoy now and over the coming three years with roast pork loin, pan-seared pork chops, roast duck, potatoes au gratin and long-simmered beef stews.

Bonus Taste:
The “OH MY GOSH” champagne, because that is typically people’s first reaction after tasting it.
Naturally fermented, with pure almond flavor added. A unique sparkling wine that is appreciated by Champagne lovers. Yet, those who do not normally like Champagne find the Almond Champagne accessible and enjoyable. In short, the experts like it, and Champagne novices are surprised by it.
Pairs well with mild creamy cheeses such as Brie and apricot shilton cheese. serve with light chicken, pork or seafood dishes. Great with desserts such as cheesecake, fruit tarts, and truffles. Goes wonderfully with brunch foods such as fresh fruit, crepes, and soufflés.
Many have also enjoyed the Almond Champagne with hot tubs, romantic dinners, picnics, and warm fireplaces.
Varietal composition: French Columbard, Estate Chardonnay
Aging: Drink now. Good up to 5 years
