Karen Didion is an artist specializing in “capturing your memories” with designs focused on the holiday seasons for over 15 years. What humbly began as an artistic pastime of a registered nurse soon had the makings for an aspiring business enterprise.

Karen had many requests to show her creations at private shows and exclusive country clubs. In 1995, as a result of the popularity of her work, Karen formed the business entity of “Karen Didion Originals” and subsidiary “The Crakewood Collection by Karen Didion” in 2002.

Karen’s collections are currently featured in many exclusive department stores and specialty shops across the United States, internationally and on the internet. Karen resides in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri with her husband and four children.

 

All of our glass collectibles are individually handcrafted by Egyptian glass artists.

The artist takes the glass through a series of steps: including mouth blowing the glass, engraving a design, adding 24 karat Gold trim, painting and finally baking in the color.

The end result is a truly elegant and timeless treasure to cherish.

Each collectible Santa is designed by our resident artist, Michael Lukens. Artisans are trained by Michael to assist with assembly. A team of master quilters and seamstresses cut a rescued or salvaged quilt, utilizing the good parts to retain the beauty of the original quilt for Santa's robe.

Fabrics are then matched to the quilt to create the clothing under the robe. After assembly, a variety of accessories are added to create a one-of-a-kind look.

Each Santa is signed and numbered and comes with a Certificate of Limited Edition. Normally no more than six Santa's can be made from a single quilt, so each Santa is a member of an elite circle of friends!
